MATTHIAS ZÜHLKE

(Master of Arts in Architecture)

Matthias Zühlke studierte Architektur an der MSA | Münster School of Architecture und wurde von Professor Jürgen Reichardt zum wissenschaftlichen Mitarbeiter für Tragwerksplanung (2005-2008) berufen. 2007 arbeitete Matthias für LSA / LefflerSimes Architects in Sydney. Nach seinem Abschluss mit Auszeichnung gründete er das Büro PlanerBund und arbeitete an mehreren DGNB-Lizenzprojekten zur Verbesserung der Nachhaltigkeit von Architektur. Außerdem war er Gastdozent an der Donau-Universität in Krems.

Matthias kam 2009 als freier Mitarbeiter zu MAAS & PARTNER Architekten. Er gewann mehrere Preise für das Büro, fungierte als Projektmanager für zahlreiche Projekte und wurde schließlich 2018 Partner. Als Partner ist er verantwortlich für die Konzeption und Entwicklung von Wettbewerben und Projekte für Wohn- und Geschäftsgebäude, sowie für Handel- und Event-Architektur. Darüber hinaus beschäftigt er sich mit Städtebau und der Einführung neuer Technologien im Büro. Neben seiner Tätigkeit bei MAAS & PARTNER unterrichtet Matthias an der MSA | Münster School of Architecture und ist dort als Gastdozent tätig.

Matthias Zühlke studied architecture at the University of Applied Sciences in Münster, where he was appointed assistant tutor for the department of structural design by Professor Jürgen Reichardt (2005-2008). In 2007 Matthias worked as an intern for LSA / LefflerSimes Architects in Sydney. After graduating with distinction, he founded PlanerBund and worked on several DGNB licensing projects to improve the sustainability of architecture. Moreover, he was guest lecturer at the Donau-University in Krems.

Matthias joined MAAS & PARTNER Architects in 2009 as a freelancer. He won several prizes for the office, functioned as project manager for numerous projects and finally became a partner in 2018. As partner, he is responsible for the design and concept development of various competitions and projects for residential as well as retail buildings and the refurbishment of movie theatres. Furthermore, he is engaged in urban design as well as passionate about introducing new techniques and futuristic technologies to the office. Beyond his role at MAAS & PARTNER, Matthias is involved in academic research at the Münster School of Architecture and works as a guest lecturer there.
